Your Guide to the 5 Best Baby Stores in San Antonio

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Service Range: I assessed the variety of products each retailer stocks on their shelves. Stores offering daily clothing essentials and heavy-duty furniture ranked higher on our list.

Pricing & Packages: I compared cost structures to find competitive rates and bundle deals. Venues providing secondhand options or loyalty rewards scored well for overall value.

Specialist Approach: I looked at how well each shop caters to specific parental demands, such as safety or wellness. Retailers with certified safety experts and highly curated selections earned extra points.

Location & Accessibility: I evaluated the physical accessibility of these shops for visits with young children in tow. Easy highway access and ample parking space were critical factors in our decision.

Staff Credentials: I considered the expertise and helpfulness of the customer service teams. Associates who provide hands-on styling advice or product demonstrations greatly improve the shopping trip.

Parenthood has a way of turning simple errands into urgent missions, especially when you suddenly need things like a car seat or the right sleepwear. Finding the best baby store in San Antonio can make those moments a lot easier to manage.

The local market is full of options, from well-established retailers to smaller consignment shops that feel a bit like a candy store of baby gear. The challenge is knowing which ones actually prioritize safety, quality, and practical return policies.

That is what we focused on while exploring the city’s baby stores, paying attention to both everyday essentials and the overall shopping experience.

Here are the best baby stores in San Antonio worth checking out.

1. Crib & Kids

Website: cribandkids.com
Address: 1309 N Loop 1604 W #106, San Antonio, TX 78258
Contact: (210) 764-2742 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday, Wednesday to Saturday 11:00AM–5:00PM | Sunday 12:00PM–5:00PM

Planning a nursery feels much easier when you can see and test the furniture in person. Crib & Kids features a massive showroom with over 30 different crib setups.

This means you’ll be able to try more than 15 gliders while getting personalized help designing custom bedding.

I actually visited the shop to see what they offer. I found their Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CCPSTs) really helpful in finding secure strollers that fit perfectly into customers’ daily routines.

They also carry essential supplies, from newborn bundles to bed upgrades for older children, which makes it a convenient one-stop shop.

One thing I’d recommend keeping in mind is their strict final sale policy. Any item discounted by 25 percent or more cannot be returned, and car seats are strictly non-refundable due to safety liability rules.

Pros

  • 30-day return guarantee
  • Defective item shipping refunds
  • Free four-hour cancellation window
  • Broken damage replacements

Cons

  • Clearance items are final sale
  • No car seat returns

Absolutely incredible from start to finish

As first-time parents, this experience meant so much to us. Michele was absolutely incredible from start to finish. Not only did she properly install our car seat, but she took the time to thoroughly educate us on correct usage, safety guidelines, adjustments, and what to look for as our baby grows.

We walked in feeling unsure and walked out feeling confident and empowered. The level of knowledge, patience, and genuine care we received is something you simply would not experience at a general retail store that doesn’t specialize in baby gear.

Every representative is incredibly knowledgeable about baby products

If you’re a first-time mom like me, I 110% recommend starting at Crib & Kids! I had been overwhelmed doing endless research on strollers, carriers, bottles—you name it—and had no idea where to even begin with my registry. I originally visited Crib & Kids just to look at strollers, but I was so surprised to see how much more they offer.

Every representative is incredibly knowledgeable about baby products. They clearly explain the differences between brands and why certain items work best for specific needs. I left feeling relieved and so much more confident.

2. Kid to Kid San Antonio Summit

Website: kidtokid.com
Address: 4919 Northwest Loop 410, San Antonio, TX 78229
Contact: (210) 680-3496
Hours: Monday to Saturday 9:00AM–7:00PM

Busy schedules demand shopping stops that require minimal detours. That’s why we find Kid to Kid San Antonio Summit really convenient.

Situated right off major highways, this resale shop offers an effortless process for parents wanting to quickly swap out outgrown clothes for curated designer apparel.

What I really like is that you can bring in used gear and receive immediate trade-in compensation through cash or store credit. There’s no need to wait days for an appraisal.

It’s a practical system that really helps keep up with growing toddlers on a tight budget.

That said, sellers do need to prepare their items carefully before heading to the counter. The staff requires all clothing to be perfectly laundered and in like-new condition, and they will reject any gear that’s missing even minor components.

If you meet their criteria, I think it’s an efficient way to manage your children’s constantly changing wardrobes.

Pros

  • 20 percent store credit bonus
  • Instant cash payout option
  • Hassle-free storefront parking
  • Browse inventory while waiting

Cons

  • Rejects items with missing parts
  • Requires perfectly laundered clothes

Place is clean and smells good

You could purchase (or sell) gently used  clothes, shoes, toys, books, and baby items like strollers or bassinets. Everything is in good condition. The place is clean and smells good. Keep in mind when you come to sell your kids’ clothes they usually take the up coming seasonal clothing.  The only downside I have is that you have to wait inside the store for 30-45 minutes. Can’t leave to get a drink and come back, or they’ll call you the next day if you do leave.

They always have great clothes

Great place to bring baby clothes from newborn- 14/16 youth. Bring your clothes laid flat and stack in a box/container/basket and they’ll go through. Walk and shop around or come back the next day for your things if you drop it off, I usually shop around because you can use the money as store credit as well and even get %10 off for selling and buying in the same day. They always have great clothes, Alot of shoes and toys! Love them, check them out it’ll be worth it!

Founded by a mother with a decade of pediatric nursing experience, Sam and Sab Baby Store avoids uncurated mass stocking and focuses on thoughtfully selected items.

Every product is handpicked to meet rigorous safety standards, which reflects the owner’s strong commitment to child well-being. That attention to safety is reassuring, especially when buying for a newborn, since materials and product quality truly matter.

I also like that the store’s name honors her two oldest daughters, which adds a personal touch to the whole experience.

They even offer a nice financial perk: a $25 bonus when you refer a friend who makes a qualifying purchase.

One thing to keep in mind is that you’ll need to make purchase decisions fairly quickly. They enforce a very brief return window, and any exchanged item must remain completely untouched in its original packaging to qualify.

Pros

  • Same-day order processing
  • Free domestic shipping minimums
  • Full 24-hour cancellation window
  • Prompt refund processing times

Cons

  • Very brief return period
  • Untouched original packaging required

We hosted a baby shower at their event space in the back of the store. The owners were so warm, welcoming and helpful! They even offered some of their own supplies to help us decorate their space. We purchased some merchandise from the store and it is high quality and we will definitely be coming back to purchase more. Highly recommend their space for your baby shower or if you’re looking to buy a gift for a new mom or baby 🙂

Sam and Sab’s were so kind and so helpful with my loved ones’ baby shower. The reserved space for the shower was professional and well kept. They checked on us throughout the set up process. Highly recommend using Sam and Sab’s as a space for your next baby shower.

Nursery Couture is seriously a gem boutique

Nursery Couture is seriously a gem boutique. I was traveling to Arizona for a baby shower (first baby — and a little girl!) and I was so excited about my best friend’s first grandbaby that I wanted to put together the *perfect* shower gift… and maybe went a little overboard 😂

They have an amazing selection for babies and moms-to-be, and I was able to get everything in one place: books, a sweet sign to show all her newborn stats, baby essentials, swimsuits, plus the sweetest clothes and accessories. Everything was *so* soft — especially the blankets.

They have the prettiest clothes, bows, shoes, pjs

Great shop for all wearable stuff for baby/little kid! They have the prettiest clothes, bows, shoes, pjs to make your little one super cute! Definitely worth the visit! Great selection for family photo baby outfits!

5. Carter’s

Website: carters.com
Address: 18030 US Highway 281 North, Suite 106, San Antonio, TX 78232
Contact: 210-494-2341 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday to Saturday 10:00AM–8:00PM | Sunday 11:00AM–7:00PM

Running back to a store for quick sizing swaps is the last thing most new parents want to deal with. That’s why I find Carter’s generous three-month return window especially helpful, since it gives families plenty of time to test fits and finalize their decisions.

Frequent buyers also have a good reason to stick around thanks to a tiered loyalty program that quickly stacks points for future savings.

They also provide accessible styling advice, which comes in handy when coordinating outfits for toddlers feels overwhelming.

If you’re buying presents for a distant relative, their digital and physical gift cards are a reliable option that makes gifting much easier

Just keep in mind that returning online purchases by mail comes with a flat shipping fee that gets deducted directly from your refund.

Customers hoping to use their premium gift-wrapping service should also note that it cannot be applied to local pickup orders.

Pros

  • Flexible alternative payment returns
  • Seamless digital to physical exchanges
  • Premium gift packaging add-ons
  • Direct phone support agents

Cons

  • Mail returns incur flat fees
  • No gift boxing on pickups

Great Baby Store

Shop their sales!!! Prices are $$ for regularly priced items but they have great sales and clearance racks so it is well worth going to even if you don’t want to spend a lot. They have a wide selection and a great return policy in case something doesn’t fit. It is a wonderful place to go get a gift for a baby shower or infant birthday. Everyone who works there is incredibly nice as well.

More organized than the other branches I’ve been to. Pricing  appears as if you’re saving money but you still walk out spending over a $100 on baby clothes. Fortunately they send frequent coupons in the mail that are useful in these instances. They have a time limited return policy so pay attention if you are taking something back
