We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Inventory Variety: We evaluated the range of brands and models available on the showroom floor. A diverse selection allows buyers to compare different bikes physically without driving across town to multiple locations.

Pricing Transparency: We looked for clear financial structures and guarantees that protect buyers from aggressive markups. Dealerships that openly communicate their fees and offer price matching score highly in our assessments.

Service Department Quality: Post-purchase support is crucial for long-term ownership, so we checked if locations employ factory-trained technicians. Authorized repair centers ensure your motorcycle receives specialized care using the correct diagnostic tools.

Customer Experience: We considered the overall showroom atmosphere and staff approachability during the browsing process. A straightforward, low-pressure environment is essential for a comfortable and informed buying journey.

Community Integration: We checked if the dealer actively supports the local riding scene through ongoing events or training partnerships.

Shops that host group rides or partner with safety schools demonstrate a genuine commitment to the motorcycle lifestyle.

San Antonio features a highly active riding culture, and local showrooms cater to everyone from daily highway commuters to meticulous collectors.

I evaluated the top showrooms across the city to help you secure your next set of wheels with confidence and ease.

1. Family PowerSports Alamo

Website: https://www.familypowersports.com/alamo-location/

Address: 11900 I-10 West

Contact: (726) 227-3975

Schedule: Tuesday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

When I dropped by Family PowerSports Alamo last month to look at some Kawasaki models, I was impressed by the massive multi-line brand selection.

They have an inventory of over twelve leading manufacturers, making it incredibly easy to compare different bikes side by side.

They also handle professional custom installations, like winches and performance upgrades, which is a huge benefit for local enthusiasts. You get a highly competitive price match guarantee, making them a convenient all-in-one powersports hub.

However, getting onto the lot can be a massive headache because the dealership sits right on a heavily congested highway frontage road. Navigating that ongoing construction is extremely frustrating during peak traffic hours.

Pros

  • Extensive multi-line brand selection
  • Professional customization and upgrades
  • Competitive price match guarantee
  • Convenient all-in-one powersports hub

Cons

  • High-volume, busy showroom environment
  • Difficult highway construction accessibility

Easy And Stress-Free

Amazing experience at Family PowerSports Alamo! My son bought his first motorcycle here and we couldn’t be happier with how everything went. Sarah in finance was absolutely awesome—she went above and beyond to make sure the deal was right and did everything she could to help us get approved. Huge thanks to Jasmin as well—she was super helpful on the showroom floor and very knowledgeable, answering all our questions and making the whole process easy and stress-free. Great customer service all around. Highly recommend this place!

Useful Information

Such a great staff here. Always get the help I need. Scott Voss was great to work with and definitely gave me a lot of useful information. I would definitely bring my motorcycle here for any future work as well as purchase a motorcycle here when I decide on trading it in.

Update to 04/08/2023. I finally bought that bike and was able to trade mine in. Chris and Jason from finance were amazing! Very happy 😁😁

Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Enthusiasts looking for high-performance European engineering will love CTX Motoworks. This shop operates as the exclusive regional retailer for premium brands.

They proudly back up this specialized inventory with authorized factory service, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and highly trained technicians. I also appreciated their highly convenient text-based communication when scheduling my routine maintenance.

The family-owned nature of the business fosters a great enthusiast culture, prioritizing fun community events like track days over high-pressure sales tactics.

While their dedication to European bikes is impressive, their service department generally refuses to work on common Japanese or American motorcycles.

Additionally, the boutique nature of the shop means they remain closed on Sundays and Mondays, cutting into prime riding time.

Pros

  • Premium European brand selection
  • Authorized factory diagnostic maintenance
  • Highly rated customer support
  • Convenient text-based communication

Cons

  • Narrow service brand specialization
  • Closed on Sundays and Mondays

Super Quick

Bought my bike from them and also brought it in for its first service and had lots of parts installed. They were great when i bought the bike and thats why i came back. They installed all the parts super quick, within a day and a half. Walked me through the tuning process and the bikes been great. Cant recommend this place enough, great people work here and they will take care of you.

Next Level

I purchased a new Moto guzzi motorcycle. The service at this location is on the next level. After we made the deal, bike was delivered to my home garage at no additional cost. If you need a bike with the brands that they carry, do not choose any other dealer. Amazing dealer.

Address: 2423 Austin Hwy

Contact: (210) 654-0211

Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

A strong sense of history sets The Motorcycle Shop apart, boasting a legacy with deep industry roots as a premier authorized dealer for niche brands.

They keep around a hundred different scooters in stock at any given time, providing a massive selection for daily urban commuters.

Their deep-rooted expertise translates into reliable maintenance, as they employ factory-trained technicians who use genuine parts for all repairs.

The shop also acts as an active community hub, hosting regular events to easily connect local riders with similar interests.

However, their highly specific brand focus means they don’t carry any new inventory from the major Japanese or American manufacturers.

Their operating hours also present a hurdle since they’re closed on Sundays and Mondays, leaving weekend warriors scrambling.

Pros

  • 50-year-established local history
  • Authorized niche brand specialization
  • Factory-certified service technicians
  • Active community event engagement

Cons

  • Closed on Sundays and Mondays
  • Lacks major Japanese and American brands

Down To Earth

I dropped by today and Jason helped me a ton with looking into getting another scooter.  He is filled with alot of knowledge on makes and models and what the customer can expect.  Down to earth people right here! I recommend you are interested in motorcycles or scooters drop on in and give Jason a visit!

Excellent

Love my scooter. Bought a new Lance and loved it! Still waiting on my decals but the scooter is excellent! Update; went in a couple weeks ago and decals were available for me.  Thank you. So glad to have a place to go an admire all the nice scooters and motorcycles you all carry.

Address: 12241 San Pedro Avenue

Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Searching for a used bike usually involves scanning endless online ads. But Dream Machines Of San Antonio simplifies the hunt with a massive pre-owned inventory, nationwide shipping, and financing options.

I recently stopped by to check out their used cruiser selection, and the sheer volume of Harley-Davidsons and metric bikes on the floor was genuinely impressive.

They show market value comparisons directly on their listings, making it easy to gauge whether you’re getting a fair deal.

But because they function strictly as a pre-owned specialist, you won’t find any zero-mile factory inventory or manufacturer-subsidized financing here.

Their selection also skews heavily toward cruisers and touring bikes, so if you’re hunting for a motocross bike or track-ready sportbike, you may need to look elsewhere.

While you wait on that search, it might be a good time to finally tackle that garage door repair in San Antonio you’ve been putting off to make it in time for your new ride.

Pros

  • Extensive pre-owned motorcycle inventory
  • Accredited with a high business rating
  • Nationwide financial and shipping logistics
  • Comprehensive full-service repair facility

Cons

  • Excludes new factory inventory
  • Niche focus on cruisers and V-Twins

Process Was Smooth

I live in Dallas area and I was looking for a particular motorcycle, one that I was trying to get my hands on for a couple of years now found it at Dream Machines of San Antonio. There is a salesman down there that goes by the name of Reno this guy is 100% We agreed on a good price and we agreed on shipping the whole process was smooth unbelievable not a worry whatsoever. Thanks Reno and the staff at Dream machine San Antonio and also Dream Machines of Farmers Branch.

Amazing Experience

This place absolutely rocks! Larry Lee was a huge help throughout my entire time there. I came in looking for my first bike and he really helped me weigh out all my options and wanted me to find the bike that spoke to me. Great staff, overall amazing experience, will definitely be returning for future purchases.

Purchasing a brand-new bike at BMW Motorcycles Of San Antonio comes with excellent perks. The most notable is their complimentary 600-mile service for recent models, which covers a critical early maintenance expense.

They also run a dedicated rewards program that lets buyers earn points on gear and parts, which adds up quickly if you’re a frequent shopper.

The showroom doubles as a community training hub, partnering with local riding schools to help beginners get licensed safely.

Their service department handles specialized technical work too, including intricate electronic system support and accessory installations.

The main drawback is their single-brand focus, which means no side-by-side comparisons with other manufacturers.

Their hours are also restrictive for busy professionals, as they close Sundays and Mondays and shut early on Saturdays, leaving little time to even squeeze in a quick stop for a car wash in San Antonio afterward.

Pros

  • Favorable at-cost tire pricing
  • Complimentary 600-mile initial maintenance
  • On-site rider training resources
  • Customer loyalty rewards program

Cons

  • Closed on Sundays and Mondays
  • Restricted Saturday operating hours
  • Single-brand new inventory focus

Helpful And Knowledgeable

My first experience with BMW San Antonio was quite pleasurable. Found a bike that suits me and got a fair deal I believe. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable. I noticed their goals seem to be helping you fulfill your rider needs with no bs sales pitches and pressure.

Taking Care Of Me

I’ve bought 3 bikes from this store over the past 10 years and get all my service done here. I’ve always been happy with the customer service and focus on taking care of me. Recently I stopped by for an unscheduled visit and needed something minor on my bike addressed after a long trip. They immediately pulled it into the shop and Cesar took care of it. I couldn’t be happier. And if you’re ever not happy, take it up with Hal and he’ll make sure you are satisfied! Well done team!
