Website: http://boerjanlandscapedesign.com/
Address: 331 E Quill Dr.
Contact: (210) 310-8979 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday – Saturday, 7:30 AM-5:00 PM
Great outdoor spaces are built through careful planning from the start, making detailed design essential. Boerjan’s Landscaping & Design specializes in high-end residential landscaping in San Antonio.
They use advanced 3D design software, allowing clients to see what the finished project will look like before work starts. They also focus on xeriscaping, which helps save water during the hot Texas summers.
Hardscaping services also include building stone pathways and rebuilding entire yards. The owner stays involved in each project to keep things running smoothly and ensure clear communication.
However, they mostly work on residential projects and do not handle commercial jobs. Business owners who need help with things like groundskeeping or office cleaning will need to find another company.
Also, their detailed consultation process is a better fit for planned upgrades, not for quick lawn jobs or basic maintenance.

Brian and his team did a fantastic job on the backyard blend river rock bed, and frontyard blend river rock bed installation along with planting the perennial plants. Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM | Saturday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
Fixing a yard that keeps flooding or sinking can feel stressful, especially when you don’t know where to start. So, a dependable local option like Done Right Landscaping often comes in when practical solutions are needed most in San Antonio.
What makes them useful is their focus on real problem-solving instead of just appearance. They specialize in grading work and drainage systems, including French drains that help prevent water damage on uneven land.
Their team also provides seasonal maintenance to keep yards healthy year-round.
It’s great that the owner is directly involved in projects, too, which helps make pricing and decisions easier to understand.
One thing to keep in mind is that they are closed on Sundays, which limits weekend availability. They also don’t offer emergency services, so they’re not ideal for sudden storm damage or urgent yard issues that need immediate attention.

The best landscaping doesn’t just improve how your home looks; it also helps protect what matters beneath the surface. That’s exactly where Grounded Landscaping comes in!
This team is perfect for homes dealing with drainage or foundation issues. They focus on fixing grading problems so water does not pool near the house, which helps prevent serious damage over time.
Their services also include artificial turf and xeriscaping, which reduce maintenance and water use while keeping yards looking clean. They also install gutters and drainage systems designed for heavy rain.
Another draw is that their licensed team is known for clear communication and upfront pricing, especially on larger projects.
On the downside, they’re not the best fit for simple lawn mowing or basic yard care since they focus more on structural work. They’re also closed on Sundays, which limits flexibility for weekend scheduling or quick service requests.

4. Alamo City Tree Service & Landscaping

Website: https://www.alamocitytreeserviceandlandscaping.com/
Address: 7442 Fieldgate Drive
Contact: (210) 887-7359 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday – Saturday, 24 Hours
Storm damage doesn’t give you a warning, and neither do fallen trees. That’s where Alamo City Tree Service & Landscaping makes a difference, as they offer both tree care and full landscaping services in San Antonio.
Their team handles everything from large tree removals to complete outdoor cleanups. They also provide 24/7 emergency response, which is useful in urgent situations such as storm damage or fallen branches.
Many customers choose them because they respond quickly and leave properties so perfectly tidy after the job is done, it almost looks like an outdoor cleaning service stopped by.
Something to consider is that their wide range of services means their focus is split between tree work and landscaping. This can affect the execution of detailed gardening projects.
Also, their large service area across multiple counties can lead to slower scheduling for non-emergency jobs or routine maintenance visits.

5. Lone Star Landscaping and Tree Service

Website: http://lonestarlts.com/
Service Areas: San Antonio and nearby areas
Contact: (210) 418-9562 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday – Saturday, 7:00 AM-7:00 PM
Keeping a yard healthy in Texas often takes more than just mowing, especially when dealing with heat, pests, and water issues.
Luckily, Lone Star Landscaping and Tree Service focuses on long-term yard health through tree care and efficient landscape design. They help prevent diseases like oak wilt by safely removing infected branches before problems spread.
Their services also include fencing and full yard upgrades for complete property improvements. They build retaining walls and implement erosion control measures to improve the safety and usability of outdoor spaces.
From what I’ve observed, their irrigation systems are designed to save water while keeping grass and plants healthy.
However, they serve only a limited metro area, which restricts availability. Plus, they don’t offer 24/7 emergency tree services, so urgent situations may not be handled immediately outside normal hours.

No doubt the best tree service in town that I have ever seen
OMG…No doubt the best tree service in town that I have ever seen. They cut down half of 2 giant trees that I had in back yard, enormous…super heavy wood, over my fence and house. Cut everything up for brush pick up, left me half cord cut up for firewood and blew out the leaves, front and back, bagged all leaves up and hauled away. $1000. Dream job. Highly recommend them!

It was remarkable
Marvin runs a well oiled team who can take down a 30(maybe bigger) foot tree easily. I watched them and sometimes it was remarkable. This is my second time using his company and I will be using them in the future. Oh, when they’re trimming, they get rid of the ball moss.
