Address: 1101 Broadway Ste. 120 San Antonio, TX 78215

Contact: (210) 255-8842

Hours: Monday – Sunday: 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM

If you crave the flavors of the French Quarter without leaving Texas, NOLA Restaurant might be right up your alley.

This restaurant delivers a signature New Orleans-inspired brunch experience featuring authentic dishes like Creole Crab Purses and classic warm beignets.

We recently swung by to grab their famous Praline Bacon, and the rich, authentic flavors instantly won us over.

What’s even better is that the restaurant is incredibly family-friendly. They offer a dedicated kids’ menu alongside extensive allergen information for peace of mind.

You can even pick up your food in-store if you prefer to enjoy your Shrimp & Grits at home.

That said, navigating the Broadway Street area can be tricky. Limited parking availability around the restaurant makes access frustrating during peak weekend rush hours.

Pros

  • Unique New Orleans-style specialty dishes
  • Accommodating kids’ menu
  • Transparent allergen information
  • Convenient in-store pickup

Cons

  • Limited parking near Broadway Street
  • Difficult access during peak hours

To-Die-For

We had our company holiday brunch here — it was wonderful! The seasonal beignets were to-die-for, and the whole table shared food and tried everything, so I can confidently say the menu is dank. In my opinion, the star of the table was the stone-ground grits. I’d eat those every day!! Our server was a delight, and the interior is so fun. Love the big murals!

Service Was Wonderful

When I tell you this was the best food…👏👏👏 wife and I came for an event we had to perform at and stopped by for brunch. I got the boudin omelette and when I tell you that was the best omelette I’ve ever had! Hats off to the chef. Plus the service was wonderful and they really create a great comfortable nice atmosphere. The grits were great, the beignets were great as well So glad we came here!

Great Attitude

My boyfriend took me here as a surprise date after seeing it on tiktok and it did not disappoint! Our server Rocco was awesome! He checked in often and had a great attitude throughout our entire dining experience. The atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable. We came for dinner and will definitely be back for brunch! #gorocco!

Tasty and Fresh

Everything was tasty and fresh.  Menu has nice variety and offers more than just basic brunch options.  My chicken biscuit didn’t meet up to my full expectation but it was still enjoyable.  Biscuit to chicken ratio was too heavy on the biscuit especially as it was a very dense biscuit.  Pancakes were yummy and my husband enjoyed his Matzo ball soup. I’d come back if already in the area but I don’t know if I’d set out specifically to eat here again.

Anyone wanting a meal that looks just as incredible as it tastes will appreciate the farm-to-table approach at Box St. All Day.

The restaurant offers an artisanal brunch menu served all day in a highly photogenic setting with a gorgeous outdoor patio. Even better, it comfortably accommodates vegan and gluten-free diets.

Centrally located within Hemisfair, you get easy access to downtown attractions. Their team also handles full-service event coordination if you need a vibrant space for corporate gatherings.

That said, the restaurant is quite popular and trendy, so walk-in guests often face significantly long wait times. You should definitely plan ahead if you intend to visit on a busy weekend.

Pros

  • Vibrant and aesthetically pleasing venue
  • Accommodates specific dietary preferences
  • Central location within Hemisfair
  • Offers full-service event coordination

Amazing Experience

First time here!!! Brunch was an amazing experience. Hannah, our server, was so calming, knowledgeable, and anticipated every need! Will definitely request her next time! We had the chilaquiles and French toast. 100/10. Espresso martini was also delicious – not too sweet which I prefer. Vibe was dope – great music, decor, and service. Thank you Box St!

Outdoor Seating Recommended

Sometimes you just need a plate of hearty food to start your morning right, and this welcoming Black-owned neighborhood gem delivers exactly that.

The Brunch Spot is widely known for serving massive portions of Southern-inspired comfort food like their signature Catfish & Grits.

A friend of mine who practically lives here swears by their loaded breakfast bowls. After tasting the perfectly seasoned chicken and waffles myself, I completely understand the hype.

The family-like atmosphere also makes regulars feel right at home, so that adds to the appeal.

We also really like their streamlined online ordering system. It really handles quick takeout effortlessly.

The only major drawback is the commute if you live closer to the city center. Located in Converse, the restaurant requires a longer drive for downtown tourists.

Pros

  • Generous portion sizes and loaded plates
  • Warm and family-like atmosphere
  • Excellent Southern comfort dishes
  • Convenient online ordering system

Cons

Yummy Plate

I recommend – Here’s why! Absolutely delicious food and huge portions. While you might be vibing to the music, don’t forget to eat your yummy plate while it’s hot. The Shrimp and grits plate was made extra tasty by adding cheese so don’t forget that. The Steak and Eggs was nicely complimented by steak sauce but flavor packed in no matter what. Go early as parking and restaurant space is a bit tight, but affordable delicious brunch is soon yours if you check them out. We plan to go again! 🙂

Seasoned Perfectly

This place has been one of the best I’ve been to in San Antonio for breakfast/brunch meals! Seasoned perfectly, great portion sizes and everything. The shrimp and grits were amazing as well as the catfish! They’re a MUST TRY! Also our waitress, Jocelyn was by far very sociable, nice, and made the experience very pleasing!

5. Corinne San Antonio

corinne-san-antonio

Website: https://www.corinnesatx.com/

Address: 555 S Alamo St, San Antonio, TX 78205

Contact: (210) 353-8018

Hours: Saturday – Sunday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Positioned inside The Plaza San Antonio Hotel & Spa, Corinne San Antonio offers an upscale and modern American brunch experience in a sleek hotel setting.

We really love their emphasis on fresh, locally sourced ingredients and elegant craft cocktails. The menu features premium items like Wagyu skillets and lump crab frittatas, which pair perfectly with creative drinks like the Southtown Bloody Mary.

Guests can enjoy discounted valet parking. The hospitality definitely matches the elevated surroundings.

However, arriving at the venue can be confusing for drivers right now. Ongoing street construction and long-term closures on S. Alamo St. currently make accessing the main entrance quite difficult.

Pros

  • Prime location inside a hotel
  • Sophisticated menu with premium items
  • Discounted valet parking for guests
  • Extensive and creative cocktail menu

Cons

  • Accessing the main entrance is difficult
