5 Best Yoga Classes in San Antonio for Stress Relief and Balance

yoga-classes-in-san-antonio
We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Class Variety and Teacher Skill: I looked at whether each studio offered enough range for beginners and regular students. I also paid attention to how clearly the teachers guided the class and whether the setup felt safe.

Atmosphere and Environment: I checked how each space felt once class started. Heat levels, music, lighting, and overall comfort all matter when you’re trying to relax and stay present.

Pricing and Flexibility: I compared drop-in prices, starter deals, and memberships. Studios scored better when they gave people room to try classes without locking them into rigid plans.

Community and Accessibility: I looked for places that felt welcoming instead of cliquish. I also gave extra credit to studios with options that worked for different needs, schedules, or budgets.

Finding the right place to unroll your mat can change your whole day. Maybe you’re trying to shake off work stress after a long shift. Or maybe you want a class that helps your body loosen up without feeling intimidating.

I spent time looking through local options to find the best yoga classes in San Antonio for different comfort levels and budgets. Pilates studios in San Antonio can also fit nicely beside a weekly yoga routine if you like mixing low-impact workouts.

How much does a yoga class cost in San Antonio?

In San Antonio, a yoga class usually costs about $15 to $30 for a single drop-in, while unlimited monthly plans often range from $70 to $170 or more.

Type of PassEstimated Cost
Single Drop-in Session$15 – $30
Class Pack (5-10 classes)$89 – $175
Unlimited Monthly Membership$70 – $170+

Budget / Community Options$30/month or free park classes

1. Black Swan Yoga San Antonio – Downtown

black-swan-yoga-san-antonio-downtown

Website: blackswanyoga.com

Address: 914 E Elmira St #201

Contact: (210) 570-6555 | [email protected]

Hours: Mon-Thu 6:00 AM-9:30 PM | Fri 6:00 AM-1:00 PM, 4:00 PM-8:00 PM | Sat 7:30 AM-2:00 PM, 3:30 PM-7:00 PM | Sun 9:00 AM-9:30 PM

Keeping yoga affordable can be hard, which is why Black Swan Yoga works well for many people. The studio runs on a donation-based model, so it feels easier to start a routine without getting stuck on a fixed class price right away.

From there, the setup feels relaxed instead of stiff. You walk into a communal space, and the schedule includes different levels, so it doesn’t feel like you need a polished background before showing up.

I also like that they mix in options like Candlelight Slow Flow and a kettlebell-based class when you want more than a standard stretch.

The downside is the mat policy. Even if you reserve online, spots are still first-come, first-served, so arriving late can leave you scrambling for room during busy hours.

Pros

  • Donation-based pricing
  • No long-term contract
  • Easy online booking
  • Heated and non-heated options

Cons

  • First-come mat space policy

I Love This Studio So Much

I love this studio so much! All the instructors are amazing at holding space for students’ growth as well as our peace; the community is strong and supportive. Each instructor has their own unique style, and within that, students are encouraged to take what they individually need from the practice as well. Some of my favorite teachers are: Caitlyn, Jonathan, Gwen, and Christopher — but I’ve learned something from every class I’ve attended here.

2. Yoga Shala of San Antonio

yoga-shala-of-san-antonio

Website: yogashalasa.com

Address: 18730 Stone Oak Pkwy Suite 102

Contact: (210) 816-0370

Hours: Mon & Wed 7:30 AM-1:00 PM, 6:15 PM-8:00 PM | Tue & Thu 7:30 AM-12:00 PM, 4:30 PM-8:00 PM | Fri 7:30 AM-1:30 PM, 4:30 PM-6:00 PM | Sat 9:00 AM-11:00 AM | Sun 8:15 AM-12:00 PM

If you want a traditional practice instead of a casual drop-in, Yoga Shala of San Antonio makes more sense. The studio stays rooted in Ashtanga, and the Mysore format lets you learn the sequence at your own pace while still getting close teacher guidance.

That structure can be a big plus if you’ve been wanting deeper instruction instead of following along in a packed flow class.

Their teachers stay closely tied to the method, and the one-on-one adjustments help you build skill without rushing. The studio app also makes it easier to manage passes and class times.

The trade-off is flexibility. You’re expected to stick strictly to the prescribed sequence, and chatting or assisting peers is totally prohibited. It’s a quiet, intense space meant purely for personal discipline.

Pros

  • Traditional Ashtanga focus
  • Dedicated Mysore program
  • Studio app for passes
  • Virtual options available

Cons

  • Strict sequence-only format

The Only True Astanga Yoga Studio

The ONLY true Astanga Yoga studio in San Antonio!! This place has truly become another home. All of the instructors are vastly knowledgeable about their practices and know exactly what advice and adjustments to provide for you to perfect your own practice outside of the shala. I encourage you to take any, take ALL of the classes, regardless of what you choose you won’t leave disappointed 🙂

I Found My Yoga Place

Just moved from Honolulu, HI and tried this shala and the Ashtanga yoga. I liked it! I like the ambiance, the teacher (Christy), the studio, the half series Ashtanga class, the hands on modifications, and the special initial/first class pass. I plan to return to practice the primary series on a regular basis. I found my yoga place. Mahalo!

3. The Union Fitness & Fun, Huebner

the-union-fitness-fun-huebner

Website: theunionsa.com

Address: 11255 Huebner Rd Suite 202

Contact: (210) 569-0611 | [email protected]

Hours: Mon-Thu 6:00 AM-9:00 PM | Fri 6:00 AM-7:30 PM | Sat 7:00 AM-12:30 PM | Sun 11:00 AM-1:00 PM

For people trying to fit yoga into a wider fitness routine, The Union Fitness & Fun, Huebner, can be easier to stick with. Members can use three locations, and the schedule mixes hot yoga with HIIT, strength work, and restorative sessions.

That variety helps when you don’t want every workout to feel the same. I also like that the studio leans into the community, because the instructors celebrate milestones and make the room feel upbeat instead of intimidating.

The first-time trial is another plus if you want to test the vibe before paying for a full plan.

The catch is convenience at busy times. Parking can be a headache in the evening, so you’ll need to arrive early. On top of that, their class packages are strictly non-transferable to friends.

Pros

  • Access to three locations
  • Yoga plus HIIT options
  • Good first-time trial
  • Virtual class library

Cons

  • Parking gets tough at peak times
  • Non-transferable class packages

Great Having Access To Three Different Studios

Love this place. It is great having access to three different studios with the membership. The classes are challenging, but my body always feels refreshed and relaxed afterwards. There’s an assortment of yoga classes from bikram, power, to yin, etc. They also have kettlebell and TRX classes, and much more. There’s a good mix of people from all different backgrounds and ages that come here. Most, if not all of the teachers make it a point to remember who you are and always make nervous newcomers feel welcomed. 🙂

4. House of RhythOM

house-of-rhythom

Website: houseofrhythom.com

Address: 7302 Louis Pasteur Dr Suite 105

Contact: (210) 902-8337

Hours: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 5:30 AM-10:00 PM | Wed 7:00 AM-10:00 PM | Sat 7:00 AM-9:00 PM | Sun 8:30 AM-9:30 PM

Some studios lean hard into atmosphere, and House of RhythOM is built for that kind of experience. The music, sound system, and heated room create a class that feels immersive instead of routine.

That atmosphere is only one reason people keep coming back. The schedule also includes prenatal yoga and somatic breathwork, so the studio feels broader than a typical hot yoga setup.

I also like that first-timers can try a class for free. That makes it easier to see whether the heat, music, and teaching style feel like the right fit before committing.

Still, the heat won’t work for everyone. Most core sessions are intensely heated up to 97 degrees, so beginners or anyone sensitive to temperature may feel overwhelmed.

The lowest-priced membership is also pretty limited since it only gives you one visit per week.

Pros

  • DJ-led class atmosphere
  • Free first class
  • Prenatal classes
  • Somatic breathwork options

Cons

  • Very heated main sessions
  • Low-cost plan allows one visit weekly

Very Welcoming Staff

Very welcoming staff. Space was very clean and the front boutique had very cute stuff like clothing, jewelry and supplements! The class with Nasreen was all level friendly! As a beginner, I was able to keep up. They offer clean towels and lend mats if you need one! The end of the class they have a cold lavender towel placed on your eyes! Thoughtful and positive experience 🫶🏻

5. Divine Yoga

divine-yoga

Website: totallydivineyoga.com

Address: 1609 W Lawndale Dr

Contact: (210) 828-4177 | [email protected]

Hours: Mon, Thu, Sat, Sun 9:00 AM-7:30 PM | Tue & Wed 9:00 AM-8:30 PM

Divine Yoga holds the unique title of being the very first dedicated Kundalini studio in the area. They specialize deeply in this specific spiritual discipline, focusing heavily on breathwork and energy rather than just physical poses.

Every class beautifully concludes with a deep gong sound healing meditation to fully relax your body.

Because of that, the room feels calm and beginner-friendly. The mirror-free setup takes away some of the self-conscious pressure.

I also like that the teachers bring years of experience, which makes the classes feel grounded rather than trendy. Plus, the pay-as-you-go model is helpful if you don’t want another monthly membership.

However, you won’t find popular styles like Vinyasa or hot yoga here because of their intense focus on Kundalini. They also keep their events in-house, which means fewer outside workshops than some larger studios offer.

Pros

  • Strong Kundalini focus
  • Gong sound healing
  • Pay-as-you-go pricing
  • Mirror-free studio

Cons

  • No hot or vinyasa classes
  • Fewer outside workshops

Divine Yoga Is My Sanctuary

Divine Yoga is my sanctuary. I feel tension releasing the minute I get out of my car and walk to the studio. The owners and teachers have changed my life, helping me heal from physical and emotional issues. I absolutely love this hidden gem!

Best Yoga Studio I Have Ever Been To

Divine Yoga is the best yoga studio I have ever been to- and studio doesn’t do it justice. It has a beautiful wood cabin kind of feel on a private property that really makes it easy to step away from your day-to-day life and immerse yourself in the practice. The kundalini yoga practiced here, although it can give you a good physical workout, is really more of a mental and spiritual workout that leaves you feeling stronger mentally and spiritually refreshed. I highly recommend others come and try it out!
