You can’t talk about an immersive viewing experience without mentioning Twin Peaks. Here, you’re surrounded by wall-to-wall TVs and signature 29-degree draft beers, ensuring a fun game-day experience.
This lodge-style setup practically guarantees you won’t miss a single play, whether you’re catching a Sunday football game or an intense Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) bout.
What really elevates this spot is the impressive from-scratch kitchen. Forget standard bar food; the hand-smashed burgers and flavorful wings are genuinely worth the trip alone.
We also like how the late-night discounts can add real value, especially if we’re coming in after a day out exploring local tourist spots in San Antonio.
However, you should know that the dining room gets chaotic during major sporting events, making it super tough to hold a quiet conversation.
Very Interesting

Finding a venue that beautifully blends a massive viewing setup with authentic Louisiana-inspired culinary excellence isn’t easy, but Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux pulls it off flawlessly.
They go far beyond standard bar food. They use high-quality ingredients to create premium dishes such as savory gumbo and Cajun ribeye.
When we dropped by recently to watch a playoff game, we were blown away by how comfortable the dining environment felt. It honestly proves you don’t need a rowdy crowd to have a great time.
The screens are also thoughtfully placed throughout the space, so we always get a clear view no matter where we sit.
Just keep in mind that their menu prices are slightly higher than average pub fare. However, the elevated attention to detail in the kitchen makes every bite totally worth the extra couple of dollars.
Real Sports Bar
My hubby and I went there. He had some good food. I love their salad. The atmosphere is kind of real sports bar. The waitresses are young and silly, but they had a good food kind of expensive. I don’t know. It’s kind of like a take your kid there’re kind of place sort of like a Dave & Buster’s atmosphere not bad.

Consistently Delicious
This is my 4th visit to WalkOns. Each time I’ve been so impressed! It’s a very large, very busy sports bar. The food is consistently delicious (today I had the chicken, berry and pecan salad and onion rings), and the customer service is outstanding. I had excellent, cheerful service today from my waitress, Tara. Thanks, WalkOns, for always a great experience. I highly recommend!

Sometimes you just want an authentic neighborhood dive bar experience featuring cold drinks and live sports in a laid-back downtown setting. Alibis Sports & Spirits delivers exactly that.
This San Antonio sports bar provides a uniquely local feel that sharply contrasts with nearby tourist traps.
We absolutely love the incredibly affordable drink prices and the highly attentive service you get right at the bar. It’s a fantastic place to unwind after exploring a long day at work, especially since they offer a great outdoor patio.
The only real downside is the lack of a dedicated in-house kitchen, meaning you’ll need to rely on nearby food stands if you get hungry during the game.
Even so, the unpretentious charm makes this a fantastic spot to grab a cheap beer and catch the highlights.
Coolest Sports Bar
GOOD TIMES!! Coolest sports bar downtown!! Easy walk from Riverwalk and major hotels, drinks the way you make them at home (oooooh yeah!)! Staff is super friendly and the place is great for groups! Did I mention, GOOD TIMES!!?!

Quick Dive
A laid-back local sports bar, cool place for a quick dive if you’re downtown. the only drawback was the place is pretty small and the night we were there something was wrong with the sewer system and the whole place smelled foul. I think that’s been fixed!

4. Ojos Locos Sports Cantina

Website: https://www.ojoslocos.com/
Address: 5809 NW Loop 410, San Antonio, TX 78238
Contact: (210) 448-5626
Hours: Sunday – Wednesday: 11:00 AM – 12:00 AM | Thursday – Saturday: 11:00 AM – 2:00 AM
Mexican restaurants can often deliver great food, but they usually can’t provide the kind of high-energy, game-day atmosphere that true sports bars are built for. Luckily, Ojos Locos Sports Cantina offers both.
This restaurant is famous for its massive balones of beer and highly-rated street tacos. Our team ordered one of those gigantic draft beer pitchers last weekend during a major soccer match, and the electric atmosphere was absolutely contagious.
The promotions are another big draw, especially the daily deals like the all-you-can-eat taco nights that make it popular for group outings.
The booming music, though, makes the venue extremely loud. Normal conversation will be pretty difficult here.
But if you’re looking to celebrate a huge victory with incredible nachos and ice-cold drinks, the chaotic fun here is unmatched.
Great Atmosphere
Great place, with a great atmosphere, and a great view! We had the wings, and enjoyed every bite. As if that weren’t enough, my beer was a frosty 29°. Sports play on multiple TVs all over the room so you don’t miss a thing, while Latin flavored music pumps over the sound system. And the wait staff may not be the friendliest I’ve ever seen, but they have plenty more going for them!

Cold Beer and Sports
Such a good time with the husband! The place was bumpin’ (gotta yell to talk but that didn’t bother me). He had the lemon pepper chicken sandwich and he was in Heaven. I had the boneless wings. Not gonna lie, some of the best buffalo boneless I’ve ever had, and I don’t say that lightly! Always cold beer and sports as well. Servers weren’t pushy either. Cool atmosphere. Weird to get carded going in but I definitely understand it. Not a place to take kids. Lol!

5. Mitchell’s Sports Bar

Website: http://www.mitchellssportsbar.com/
Address: 1923 Lockhill Selma, San Antonio, TX 78213
Contact: (210) 979-7720
Hours: Monday – Sunday: 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM
If we want to avoid chaotic crowds while still enjoying a lively sports atmosphere, Mitchell’s Sports Bar feels like a real hidden gem.
It keeps things more intimate, with expertly crafted cocktails and a cozy setup that makes it easy to settle in and actually enjoy the experience.
We like how attentive the bartenders are, since the smaller space allows for more personalized service. It really shines during Formula 1 watch parties, when fans gather closely around the screens, and the energy feels focused rather than overwhelming.
There’s also a nice mix of extras like pool and darts, which helps keep things fun during downtime between matches or race moments.
One tradeoff is the limited space. Because the bar has a smaller footprint, it fills up quickly during major events. Arriving early is pretty much necessary if you want a good seat.
One Bite
One bite and i could tell it wasn’t done.
Great service by Timmy.
No Tvs larger than 50″ 3 around the bar
Would need to be renovated to todays standard in order to be a good sports bar

Sports Watching Dudes
Came here for the first time the other day to meet my football fan of a friend. What a cool little spot tucked away. Mitchells is clean, there are a ton of TV’s, the staff is friendly and seem like your typical beer drinking, sports watching dudes. You dig? Football, basketball, baseball, whatever, they’ll show it. Not sure if they show MMA/boxing events but this would be my spot if they did. Giving them a 4 for their boring food menu.
