Finding the best mocktails in San Antonio should feel fun, not like settling for a glass of juice with a garnish.
I wanted places where zero-proof drinks get the same care as cocktails, whether that means botanical syrups, frozen River Walk sips, or a sober-friendly dry bar.
Some spots shine for patio hangouts, while others are better for refined tasting-room drinks. This guide pulls together the mocktail options that stood out for flavor, atmosphere, and how easy they make it to skip alcohol without missing the experience.
How much do mocktails cost in San Antonio?
Mocktails in San Antonio generally cost between $7 and $15 per drink, with specialized craft zero-proof cocktails at high-end venues costing around $11 to $12.
| Service Level | Cost Range |
| Standard Mocktails | $7 – $15 |
| Craft High-End Zero-Proof Cocktails | $11 – $12 |
1. Down on Grayson

Website: https://www.downongrayson.com/
Address: 303 East Grayson
Contact: (210) 248-9244
Hours: Sunday-Thursday, 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM; Friday-Saturday, 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
Down on Grayson is the kind of place I would pick when the drink matters, but the patio matters just as much. Its Tobin Hill location near the Pearl makes it easy to turn a mocktail stop into a long lunch or early dinner.
The zero-proof side of the menu leans into scratch-made refreshers instead of plain soda, and the Mint Limeade is the one a local friend kept recommending to me.
I also like that the oak-shaded patio feels roomy and pet-friendly, which helps if you want a relaxed daytime outing.
The catch is the wait. They do not take reservations, so weekend peak hours can move slowly.
The indoor dining room can also get loud, which makes the patio the better choice when you want an easier mocktail hangout.
Mocktail that was very refreshing
Had chimi churi and steak for the first time and I’m glad I got it here. It was really good, and the thin sliced onion rings were satisfying too. Had a mocktail that was very refreshing, staff was great, and I was very happy with this visit.

Great ambience and tasty food
Great ambience and tasty food! Weather was great and we enjoyed sitting outside. Nice cocktail menu, but even the mocktail Blueberry Lemonade was enjoyable. For sure try the double dip app. Everything our table ordered was very tasty. Will return again.

2. Thirsty Aztec

Website: https://thirstyaztec.com
Address: 200 River Walk
Contact: (210) 580-4844
Hours: Monday-Thursday, 11:30 AM – 10:00 PM; Friday-Saturday, 11:30 AM – 12:30 AM; Sunday, 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Thirsty Aztec works best when you want something cold, quick, and fun while walking the River Walk. It’s a walk-up frozen drink stop, so the appeal is less about lingering and more about grabbing a bright zero-proof slushie before continuing your day.
Their non-alcoholic frozen margaritas come in easy crowd-pleasers like Watermelon and Piña Colada. This makes the place especially useful for families, designated drivers, and anyone skipping alcohol in a tourist-heavy area.
The tradeoff is simplicity. There is no on-site seating, and the drinks lean sweet rather than complex.
If you want the delicate, sophisticated vibe we usually associate with upscale wine tasting spots, this will feel much more casual.
Still, for a hot afternoon or late-night River Walk stroll, it hits the spot.
The service was quick and friendly
One word: yes! This place has bomb micheladas. Micheladas are my favorite drink, and this place knows how to make it right and for a great price. The service was quick and friendly, and the painting is a great place to snap a photo of your drink.

Mango Nada and fresh pineapple juice
We visited the Riverwalk on the weekend. After some walking and a boat ride on a hot, sunny day, we felt very thirsty and discovered this worthwhile spot. We ordered Mango Nada and fresh pineapple juice, both of which were excellent. They also offer a variety of other fresh fruit juices as well.

3. The Bar at Mixtli

Website: https://restaurantmixtli.com/
Address: 812 S. Alamo St STE 103
Contact: (210) 338-0746 | [email protected]
Hours: Tuesday-Saturday, 5:30 PM – 10:00 PM
The Bar at Mixtli is where I would go when I want a zero-proof drink to feel like a real tasting experience. Its Michelin-starred connection shows in the way the bar treats ingredients.
There are options built around things like corn dashi, needle white tea, avocado leaf, and guajillo. That level of detail gives the drinks a more grown-up feel than the usual juice-heavy mocktail list.
It also pairs nicely with their culinary bar snacks, so the whole visit feels intentional rather than like an afterthought.
The downside is that the experience is not casual or cheap. Mocktails can sit close to full cocktail pricing, and the intimate room means seating is limited.
If you’re visiting, I recommend planning ahead instead of hoping for an easy walk-in during prime dinner hours.
Very creative mixologists
Came here with two buddies to celebrate one of their birthdays and we were all blown away with how great the drinks were. Very creative mixologists and a rotating menu, so there is always something new to try. Jonas took excellent care with us and with the prep of our drinks. We will be back!

4. Bar Mon Ami

Website: https://www.barmonami.com/
Address: 4901 Broadway
Contact: 210.320.0279 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday-Thursday, 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM; Friday-Saturday, 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM; Sunday, 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Bar Mon Ami feels like a neighborhood bar that remembers non-drinkers want something interesting too.
Their dedicated zero-proof menu uses ingredients like botanical aperitifs and prickly pear puree, so the drinks feel polished without trying too hard.
I like that the space still has the social energy of a proper evening bar, with rotating art and a charitable cocktail program that gives back to local nonprofits.
A sober-curious local I spoke with said the spirit-free options felt balanced enough to order more than once, which I fully agree.
The main limitation is the format. It is bar service only, so you should not expect a full tableside dining experience.
The hours also skew strictly in the evening, which makes it less useful if you want a daytime mocktail stop or a sunny patio drink.
An absolute gem
Bar du Mon Ami is an absolute gem. The staff is genuinely warm, attentive, and knowledgeable, making you feel welcome the moment you walk in. The drinks are excellent, thoughtfully crafted, and consistently impressive. Add in the great location and inviting atmosphere, and it is the kind of place you want to return to again and again. Highly recommend.

5. Hash Vegan Eatery

Website: https://www.hashveganeatery.com/
Address: 5007 S. Flores
Contact: (210) 332-9244 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday-Tuesday, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM; Friday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Saturday-Sunday, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Hash Vegan Eatery stands out because it is not just a restaurant with a few non-alcoholic drinks. It’s a sober, recovery-friendly space with a dry bar approach, so the mocktails fit the mission instead of feeling like a menu add-on.
Their botanical drinks use ingredients like sage and lavender, and the farm-to-cup tea program gives the place a calm, community-focused feel.
I also like that the vegan comfort food makes it easy to settle in for more than a quick drink.
The schedule takes planning, though. Early closures limit late-night visits, and the fully plant-based menu may not work for every group.
For the right crowd, though, the atmosphere feels genuinely thoughtful.
Mocktails are off the chain
Great food and great vibes! Staff is always friendly and helpful. The food is delicious, and the mocktails are off the chain. One of my favorite vegan spots in San Antonio. I tried the flower power non-alcoholic (N/A) margarita and the chili cheeze hash, and both made the visit feel worth repeating.
