Address: 7531 BANDERA RD Suite #106 San Antonio, TX 78238-1471

Contact: (210) 468-5088

Hours: Monday, Wednesday – Saturday: 9:30 AM – 8:00 PM; Sunday: 10:30 AM – 8:00 PM; Tuesday: Closed

Finding a spot that nails a classic sandwich while satisfying your sweet tooth is rare, but BANH MI 102 manages it well. The menu covers classic banh mi options alongside boba milk teas, fresh teas, and smoothies, so it works just as well for a quick lunch as it does for a casual drink stop.

We stopped by last week for a shredded chicken sandwich and a classic Thai milk tea, and the flavors worked together brilliantly.

The bread had that ideal crisp exterior while staying soft enough on the inside, making the sandwich easy to enjoy without falling apart or feeling too dense.

Ordering is also straightforward. Their online system is simple for takeout, and dine-in has a relaxed, welcoming feel with convenient free parking right outside.

Unfortunately, they are closed entirely on Tuesdays. You will definitely need another lunch spot if the craving hits early in the work week.

Pros

  • Wide selection of complementary milk and green teas
  • Diverse menu including vegan sandwich options
  • Convenient online ordering platform for quick takeout
  • Welcoming dining atmosphere with free parking

Cons

  • Closed completely on Tuesdays

Great Flavor

My husband and I each had a banh mi from here and they were absolutely delicious! The veggies were so fresh and the meat had a great flavor.

The Vietnamese coffee is also bomb, strong and not too sugary!

Inside also had great decor and staff was so kind and welcoming. Definitely will be our new to go spot for banh mi!

One Of The Best Places

Banh Mi 102 is one of the best places i have been to! Everyone is very friendly and the food is amazing no matter if you are getting the banh mi or the bowl you will love it. They also just added pho to the menu and its single handly one of the best I’ve ever had so definitely recommend it.

2. BC Bubble Tea and Bánh Mì

Website: https://bcbubbletea.com/

Address: 4905 Walzem Rd San Antonio, TX 78218

Contact: (210) 276-0919, b[email protected]

Hours: Monday – Sunday: 9:00 AM – 9:30 PM

Sometimes you want classic Vietnamese flavors with a modern twist, and BC Bubble Tea and Bánh Mì delivers exactly that.

The menu blends traditional bánh mì sandwiches with creative drink options like avocado boba and whipped Dalgona coffee. This makes it just as much a drink stop as a quick meal spot.

We like that they keep things fresh and consistent by sourcing local ingredients. The vegetables stay crisp, and the savory meats hold up well even when paired with bold, experimental beverages.

Another strong point is convenience. They’re open seven days a week from morning until late evening, which makes it easy to drop in whenever cravings hit.

They also offer catering for events like weddings and corporate gatherings. They do, however, require at least 24 hours’ notice for those, which limits last-minute group plans.

Pros

  • Highly accessible daily operating hours
  • Professional catering services available
  • Fresh and locally sourced sandwich ingredients
  • Unique specialty drinks like whipped Dalgona coffee

Cons

  • Requires a strict 24-hour minimum notice for catering
  • Unable to accommodate last-minute large groups

Very Fresh

I had the #1 House Special and #2 Chargrilled Pork Banh Mi. I also order the Thai Milk Tea with less ice.  The Thai Milk Tea is very weak.  I was very disappointed. Banh Mi is very good.  My favorite is #1 House Special.  The ingredients are very fresh and I love the bread.  Price is very reasonable.

Atmosphere Was Aadorable

The drinks were phenomenal,  the atmosphere was adorable, I got the banh mi dac biet and the flavor tasted great – my only complaint would be that the texture of the bread was too chewy, I think if it was toasted it would be perfect. I forgot to take pictures of the drinks and food, flavor was great though -trust.

3. SINGHS Vietnamese

Website: https://order.toasttab.com/online/singhs

Address: 2803 N St. Mary’s, San Antonio, TX 78212

Contact: (830) 542-2377

Hours: Sunday – Thursday: 11:00 AM – 10:30 PM; Friday – Saturday: 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM

Late-night cravings call for something bold and comforting. SINGHS Vietnamese showcases traditional Vietnamese recipes that are reimagined through a Texan lens.

The menu leans into creative combinations, such as slow-braised brisket served on soft Bolillo rolls. They bring together comfort food influences from both cultures in a way that feels intentional rather than experimental for its own sake.

When we swung by late on a Saturday night for their house-glazed pork, the fusion of authentic marinades and Texan flair hit the spot. It’s also great that you can easily build your own plate using their robust a la carte options.

They stay open until 11:30 PM on weekends, providing a fun atmosphere with a highly creative house cocktail menu.

One thing to note is the bread choice. Serving sandwiches on Bolillo rolls rather than traditional baguettes changes the texture, offering a softer bite that may not appeal to purists seeking the classic Vietnamese crunch.

Pros

  • Late-night weekend dining options available
  • Unique fusion of authentic marinades and Texan flavors
  • Robust a la carte menu choices for custom plates
  • Creative house cocktail menu complements bold dishes

Cons

  • Uses Bolillo rolls instead of traditional baguettes

Super Nice And Helpful

Ordered the pork Banh Mi. Super delicious! Was skeptical at first because it didn’t look very traditional, but the worker was super nice and helpful! She included a spicy sauce and this other soy sauce type sauce (very good)!! Definitely coming back. I did not know it was located right on the St. Mary Strip! They should definitely extend the hours for the strip, they would definitely make more $$$!! 10/10 will be back.

Service Was Great

The atmosphere and customer service was great. The physical restaurant itself felt kind of modern but traditional with hipster chic (no opinion on that, I’m here for the food). The brisket in the banh mi was kind of dry but the flavor was pretty good. The banh (the sandwich bread) was more like a hoagie than a baguette. The overall experience was good.

4. Heavenly Pho Vietnamese Cuisine

Website: https://www.orderheavenlypho.com/

Address: 19178 Blanco Rd # 305 San Antonio, TX 78258

Contact: (210) 545-3553

Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM; Friday – Saturday: 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM; Tuesday: Closed

Feeding a family with different tastes is much easier at Heavenly Pho Vietnamese Cuisine. They offer a wide-ranging menu that draws from Vietnamese, Thai, and Chinese family recipes.

The focus remains on fresh ingredients and generous portions, making it a strong value option for group dining.

We like how flexible the menu is. Vegetarian-friendly choices are easy to find, including fresh spring rolls and vegetable-forward broths.

The overall setup works well for relaxed weekend dinners where everyone wants something slightly different.

Takeout is also handled thoughtfully. Garnishes are packed separately, which helps keep textures crisp until you’re ready to eat at home.

One limitation is scheduling. The restaurant is closed on Tuesdays, which can make early-week plans more difficult.

Still, it remains a practical and affordable alternative when you want shareable comfort food without opting for higher-end dining experiences like omakase restaurants in San Antonio.

Pros

  • Generous food portion sizes across the menu
  • Extensive vegetarian-friendly choices
  • Clean and casual dining ambiance for families
  • Takeout packaging separates fresh garnishes properly

Cons

  • Closed entirely on Tuesdays

Very Tastefully

Have to say that the food out at Heavenly Pho was super delicious. My last 2 visits I had the Pork Vermicelli Bowl, Pork Banh Mi Sandwich, and Vietnamese Egg rolls. The pork is some of the best I’ve tasted. Very tastefully marinated and perfectly cooked. So glad it didn’t have that charbroil taste which I’m not a fan of. The egg rolls were very tasty and highly recommended for an appetizer. Can’t wait to try the Pho on my next visit. From what I’ve tasted so far, I’m highly recommended this restaurant.

Service Was Great

Best Banh Mi I’ve ever had so far. The beef stew was amazing as well. The service was great. The staff will check on you, but not to the point of being overbearing. The restaurant itself is clean, and the ambiance is nice.

5. Pho Sure Bistro

Website: https://wagonwheel.phosuretx.com/

Address: 2611 Wagon Wheel San Antonio, TX 78217

Contact: (210) 636-2527

Hours: Monday – Saturday: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM; Sunday: Closed

A reliable neighborhood favorite, Pho Sure Bistro offers a solid mix of traditional and modern Vietnamese dishes. The menu leans on rich, comforting broths alongside familiar stir-fried options, making it an easy go-to for a satisfying weekday meal.

While the broths are excellent, the banh mi is just as impressive. The pork version stands out with its savory filling, pickled vegetables, jalapeños, and a creamy mayo that brings everything together.

We also like how streamlined the experience is. The online ordering system is quick and efficient, which makes pickup orders especially convenient during busy workdays.

Having multiple locations across the city also helps with accessibility, no matter where you are running errands.

One drawback is space. Seating is limited, and during peak lunch hours, walk-in diners may experience longer waits.

Because of that, it tends to work best as a grab-and-go option or a quick stop rather than a long sit-down meal.

Pros

  • Fast and optimized online ordering system
  • Multiple accessible city locations
  • Consistently flavorful and authentic broths
  • Cozy and welcoming neighborhood atmosphere

Cons

  • Limited physical seating during peak lunch hours
  • Closed completely on Sundays

Very Nice People

Very nice people

better than nearby competition

My new Pho spot.

Next I will try their Banh Mi

Edit update: I have tried the Banh Mi and it is good. I have tried others and only here will I order again. I lived in Phoenix and they have lots of good Vietnamese restaurants. This one is my favorite regardless of location. They just need to add Bánh xèo which is at most other places I have been to.
