They offer an exclusive seven-course contemporary American tasting menu right in the heart of the kitchen, providing a delightfully chaotic and rewarding way to dine. Stepping into their cozy, 56-seat dining room feels like entering a secret culinary clubhouse.

During my recent visit, I marveled at how perfectly the award-winning wine pairings elevated the charred Spanish octopus and crispy oyster sliders.

I also liked that I was able to avoid the usual downtown parking headaches thanks to their remarkably convenient adjacent lot. 

However, the kitchen-side seating does require a strict minimum of six guests or a hefty minimum spend. That rigid rule makes this particular seating style fairly inaccessible for couples seeking a spontaneous, quiet date night without breaking the bank.

I highly recommend checking out Bliss.

Bliss is one of the nicest places I’ve been to in San Antonio. The atmosphere is great, I love what they did with the space. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. I stopped in for restaurant week and ordered the tasting menu: pork belly, red fish and butter cake. Everything was delicious, I highly recommend checking out Bliss.

Okay, I get it! I have been trying to eat at Clementine for quite some time. It’s such great food. I highly recommend the tasting menu. They give you  an amazing variety of food. The pasta dishes are my favorite. I still think about it today. The menu is quite seasonal, which makes it so fresh and unique. They combine flavors I’ve never quite had before. It’s a great dinner spot.

We had a lot of fun with a wide variety of ingredients and flavors.

Got the seven course feed-me tasting menu. You wouldn’t know in advance what the dishes were, but we did get a thoughtful warning that the main course could be a whole fish if we were ok with that (to which we were and turned out great). Had a lot of fun with a wide variety of ingredients and flavors; will recommend.

If you plan to explore other nearby attractions beforehand, definitely build in extra time for transit and parking to avoid missing your reservation.

One of the best meals I’ve ever had.

Biga’s 5 course tasting menu with wine pairings was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The service was impeccable, the privacy of our table with a view was phenomenal, and each course truly wow’ed us. We especially enjoyed the plate with antelope, quail, and lamb on it! Treat yourself to a tasting menu here and you certainly won’t regret.

Hands down the best tasting menu I have ever had. 8 courses with wine pairing and honest to goodness I thought they were going to have to roll me out of there with a wheelbarrow. Chef Bruce prepared each of our dishes himself…and happily came out to greet our table when I put in the request. I think the lamb  and venison with local stone ground grits and polenta were my favorites, or perhaps the wagyu beef, or perhaps the mushroom consume, or could it have been the sticky toffee pudding…I just don’t know anymore:)

Exceptional dining experience. Each dish was thoughtfully themed around Mexican history and locality, delivering not just incredible flavour but storytelling on the plate. We are in Texas for a week and a half for a conference and have been trying the best food Austin and San Antonio have to offer. This has easily been the best restaurant and best tasting menu we have tried. Great food, drinks, and service. Would highly recommend. Only place we have tried in Texas so far that seems worthy of a Michelin star and we hope they get one later this year.

However, securing a weekend reservation usually requires booking several weeks in advance due to massive local hype. 

And because it’s located within a highly popular food hall area, the surrounding streets are frequently congested, much like the bustling markets nearby, adding a layer of logistical chaos to your otherwise perfect evening.

A truly wonderful, memorable meal.

My wife booked us a table for my birthday, and it was one of the best meals I’ve had in my life.  From the tasting menu, we savored dishes endlessly inventive and delicious (wagyu, cabbage, and multiple takes on ice cream were fantastic among others).  The wine pairing was an absolute highlight, and we enjoyed a tour of the world’s vineyards (Italy, Georgia, Austria, Napa, France, Portugal) that perfectly complemented our plates.  Lastly, the service was excellent – prompt, courteous, and insightful.  A truly wonderful, memorable meal.
