Address: 431 S Alamo St

Contact: 210-759-7446

Hours:

  • Monday – Thursday, 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
  • Friday, 1:00 PM – 1:00 AM
  • Saturday, 12:00 PM – 1:00 AM
  • Sunday, 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Enjoying a drink without worrying about the intense heat is a luxury, which is why Tenfold Rooftop stands out as the only year-round, all-weather rooftop in the city. Their comfortable setting perfectly frames the main attraction.

The best part here is the comprehensive 360-degree views of the skyline alongside an agave-focused beverage program.

From what I’ve experienced, their specialized menu absolutely delivers on its promises. You can easily spend hours exploring the high-end tequila options in this central luxury location.

I tried their Oaxaca in a Glass flight, and the curated selection of mezcal was excellent. The culinary side is equally impressive, featuring a specialized menu of chef-curated dishes inspired by regions around the world.

However, the premium agave tastings can be quite expensive, which might stretch a casual evening budget.

Pros

  • 360-degree panoramic skyline views
  • Year-round climate control
  • Inclusive mocktail options available
  • Elevated agave and mezcal flights
  • Luxurious central location

Cons

  • Expensive premium agave flights
  • Opens late on weekdays

Favorite Rooftop Bar
My wife and I’s favorite rooftop bar in San Antonio. Music, atmosphere, and drinks are always great! Nothing beats the great view of the city. Be sure to make a reservation in advance and check out their site for special events.

Great Experience And Date Night
Truly a great experience and date night with my beautiful wife last night at this place. It was a great experience from the time we pulled up at the valet. The amazing views on the rooftop bar are incredible especially as the evening comes. ” Janea ” was our waitress and she was perfect!!

The drinks and appetizers were also incredible. Turns out we booked a night for the following week as we loved the total atmosphere. Loved it!

2. The Moon’s Daughters

Website: https://www.themoonsdaughters.com

Address: 115 Lexington Ave

Contact: 210-942-6032, [email protected]

  • Hours:
  • Monday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 12:00 AM
  • Friday – Saturday, 7:00 AM – 2:00 AM
  • Sunday, 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM

I first encountered The Moon’s Daughters on their morning pop-up, which I now frequently hit up before heading to the local cinema for an espresso. Once the day gets going, the focus shifts to a highly curated menu.

This highly elegant place stands out for a distinct celestial theme inspired by Selene. Their celestial branding perfectly matches their sky-high location on the 20th floor, earning them the title of the highest rooftop venue in the area.

While soaking in the panoramic views, you can either sit in the indoor lounge or grab a table on the outdoor terrace.

As for their food offerings, expect Mediterranean-inspired regional small plates that step away from standard pub fare.

Do note, however, that the elevated atmosphere means you need to dress the part. They enforce a strict dress code prohibiting athletic wear, so casual daytime visitors might be turned away.

Pros

  • Massive panoramic 20-story views
  • Indoor and outdoor seating flexibility
  • Frequent live entertainment and DJs
  • Specialty morning coffee pop-up
  • Sophisticated upscale atmosphere

Cons

  • Strict dress code required

Fun Rooftop Bar
Such a fun rooftop bar with a shaded narrow area for sitting/dining and a bigger open area without shade for lounging/drinking. Fantastic skyline views. Great photo opportunity. Drinks are good, service is good. Had a work event here which was lovely! Would highly recommend for events or holidays parties. Gets a little loud and rowdy later at night

One Of My Favorite Rooftop Bars
One of my favorite rooftop bars, service has always been amazing. My favorite bartender Mauricio has always made it such a memorable experience. Honestly I always come back because of his stellar service. He makes the best drinks, (especially carajillos) would totally recommend!

3. 505 RoofTop Bar

Hours:

  • Wednesday, 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM
  • Thursday, 5:00 PM – 12:00 AM
  • Friday, 3:00 PM – 2:00 AM
  • Saturday, 12:00 PM – 2:00 AM
  • Sunday, 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM

505 RoofTop Bar is explicitly styled to feel like an outdoor living room, complete with a cozy fireplace for chillier evenings. This intimate residential aesthetic is beautifully contrasted by a striking metropolitan backdrop.

Here, you get a direct, unobstructed view of the downtown skyline from their comfortable weather-proof seating areas. You’ll get to admire the bustling city without actually dealing with the crowds.

I was glad to find that the laid-back environment extends right down to their drink prices. You can enjoy a budget-friendly happy hour here, with discounted well drinks and house wine on weekdays.

The neighborhood vibe is further amplified by their inner circle program, which rewards regulars with exclusive updates and fun perks.

However, one downside of their otherwise excellent service is that their happy hour discounts are unavailable on Fridays and Saturdays.

Pros

  • Budget-friendly weekday happy hour
  • Weather-proof seating options
  • Clear skyline perspective
  • Accessible Market Square location

Cons

  • No happy hour on weekends
  • Limited daytime operating hours
  • Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays

Customer Reviews:

Vibe Is On Point
I’ve gone to Salsa Night at 505 Rooftop Bar three times now and it keeps getting better. The vibe is on point, the music is perfect for dancing, and the crowd brings such good energy. Add in the rooftop views and it’s honestly one of the best nights out. If you’re even thinking about going, do it. This is my new go-to.

Love This Spot
Love this spot! Nice access to a rooftop bar with nice vibes & Music. Love that they have good deals on drinks especially compared to other downtown spots. This is the go-too with the homies whenever we hang. Friendly staff is a plus too and sometimes they have street tacos which is always good. hype to come back again!

4. Otro Bar

otro-bar

Website: https://www.domingorestaurant.com/otro-bar

Address: 123 N St Mary’s St

Contact: 210-404-7516

Hours:

  • Monday – Thursday, 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM
  • Friday, 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM
  • Saturday, 12:00 PM – 1:00 AM
  • Sunday, 12:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Taking in the sights and sounds of the city requires the right vantage point, and Otro Bar offers a dual view of both the water and the skyline. This elevated terrace experience is designed to capture the vibrant atmosphere right from the local hotel.

As for the drinks, their curated cocktail program heavily emphasizes hand-crafted beverages and specialized agave selections. The kitchen serves up high-end small plates featuring local flavors, stepping far beyond typical bar snacks.

In fact, the menu reads more like a foodie’s dream than a standard lounge list. Guests can enjoy everything from shrimp ceviche to pork belly carnitas tacos while enjoying the vibe.

You might want to look elsewhere if you want a full meal, though. The portion sizes are on the smaller side here, compared to what you’d typically get at an actual diner (or a French restaurant if you’re still looking for elegant vibes).

Pros

  • Prime Riverwalk and skyline views
  • Extended daily operating hours
  • High-end artisanal small plates
  • Sophisticated hotel atmosphere
  • South Texas local flavor profiles

Cons

  • Limited heavy dining options

Customer Reviews:

Atmosphere And Vibe Was Unmatched
Had such a good time here, the atmosphere and vibe was unmatched. Carol made us some awesome drinks! Santiago made the evening enjoyable and had great convos with us. John and Jason were very welcoming. We had the best time and will be back!

Absolutely Fantastic Place
Absolutely fantastic place to relax and grab a beverage (or 3) after a busy day. The selections are great, the staff is awesome, and the vibes are on point. Even in some unseasonably cold weather, Otro kept the service superb. Sherry specifically went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed, gave me a great run down on all the local options, and just all around ran a smooth ship. I recommend the Mula or love street for drinks. Didn’t have any food, but I’m sure it’s awesome.

5. 1Watson

1watson

Website: https://www.1watsonrooftop.com

Address: 111 Soledad St

Contact: 210-222-8300, [email protected]

Hours:

  • Monday – Thursday, 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
  • Friday, 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM
  • Saturday – Sunday, 10:30 AM – 12:00 AM

Immersing yourself in local history is simple when your vantage point overlooks iconic landmarks like the nearby cathedral. 1 Watson acts as a cultural tribute lounge, using its decor and service to tell the story of the city’s rich heritage.

Their rich local flavor extends right into the dining experience. A unique aspect of the kitchen here is that they operate a full wood-fired kitchen rather than relying solely on basic appetizers.

I appreciate that patrons can order a full meal, particularly Southwest-inspired dishes like roasted marrow bone or a savory burger.

Just be sure to place your dinner orders early because the kitchen closes earlier than the bar. This early closure can be disappointing for guests seeking a late-night meal.

Nonetheless, this 15th-floor venue provides a significant height advantage, resulting in expansive skyline views.

Pros

  • High-altitude 15th-floor perspective
  • All-weather indoor and outdoor seating
  • Extended weekend brunch hours
  • Full Southwest-inspired dining menu
  • Prime historical landmark location

Cons

  • Limited late-night kitchen hours
  • Weekday midday access is unavailable

Customer Reviews:

Great Rooftop Bar
Great rooftop bar with stunning views and delicious drinks. There was a dj playing good music on a Friday night. I’d recommend making a reservation if you plan on coming here on the weekend. They might even offer you a blanket if you’re really cold. The food was okay as well

Vibe Is Amazing
Been wanting to check out this rooftop bar since they opened. The vibe is amazing. Quality drinks with a spectacular view of downtown. I was telling our waitress that it would even be more amazing if they had nights they serve hookah because I’d definitely pay premium price to have hookah with the view. Will definitely be back.
