So after one too many stressful grooming trips, I started testing mobile groomers around San Antonio. Some were great, some… not so much. With that, here’s a list of the best ones—reliable and actually good with dogs.

Their mobile grooming services cover a wide array. This includes pet bathing, fur trimming and styling, and more.
What personally amazed me is the inclusion of unique treatments like pet hair dyeing and hot oil treatments. These reflect a creative edge and a specialized approach to grooming that goes beyond the basics.
The salon-level dental treatments are also an impressive addition. They even offer promotional discounts, such as 10% off for first-time clients and multi-pet bookings, which I find to be a thoughtful touch.
It certainly reflects a customer-friendly attitude and a desire to build long-term relationships with pet owners.
However, they don’t have an online scheduling system, so customers have to rely on phone or text to secure appointments.

Hallz Pet Groomz serves within a 30-mile radius around San Antonio, making them more accessible than many other mobile groomers I’ve come across. But if you’re near the edge of their service area, be prepared for possible travel fees.
Their grooming services go beyond the basics. They cover everything from bathing and coat trimming to styling and nail care, and they actually seem to take their time with it. Nothing felt rushed at all.
I was also pleasantly surprised to see that they offer mobile cat grooming, which is rare. If you’ve ever tried to get a cat into a carrier, you’ll understand why that alone feels like a gift.
What really stood out to me, though, is how they handle pets with anxiety or special needs. Several pet owners mentioned the groomer takes breaks during sessions, especially with nervous or older dogs.
I’ve had a dog who needed that kind of gentleness, so I really respect when groomers make the effort to meet pets where they are.

I recently tried Kirey’s Mobile Grooming, and I was struck by how thoughtfully their service menu is designed.
They used high-quality, hypoallergenic shampoo during the bath to care for my dog’s sensitive skin. They also buffed his nails after trimming, which left his paws incredibly smooth.
They also pay special attention to those sensitive spots like the ears and anal gland expression, which they offer as an add-on. Not every groomer mentions that, so it was nice to know my dog was getting that extra comfort and hygiene care.
I talked to a few other pet owners who swear by this because it prevents infections or irritation down the road. And just when I thought the session was over, they spritzed a refreshing pet perfume and tied on a cute little bandana.
However, I have to be honest about the price. With baths starting at $85 and full grooming at $125, Kirey’s may be pricey for small dogs or minimal grooming needs.

I liked that they keep track of your pet’s grooming history. After our first appointment, I didn’t have to repeat details because follow-ups were super smooth. You can even schedule recurring visits, which cuts out the usual back-and-forth.
Their full grooming service is thorough and well-done. It includes a bath with massage and skin conditioner, paw and sanitary hair removal, and more.
Cats aren’t left out, either. The Cool Cat Spa Package includes a gentle bath and the basics.
The only hiccup is that some reviewers have mentioned last-minute cancellations or vans arriving without the right equipment. It didn’t happen to me, but it’s worth noting if your schedule is tight.
