“Dance Life Studio with our instructor Jeremy was top notch and overall a fun, comfortable, and amazing experience. We had a total of 9 lessons with Jeremy. He was so easy to work with and made learning the rumba dance to our song easy to digest and fun. We always felt at ease with him and he helped create a routine for our wedding first dance that went extremely well the day of. We cannot recommend Dance Life Studio and Jeremy enough, the dance lessons were priceless and it was such a great feeling to feel comfortable on the dance floor in front of everyone. When we think of workouts that actually make us excited to show up, SMASH Dance Studio is at the top of the list.
Classes here feel more like workouts than dance parties. After just one session, we found ourselves grinning through the burn, completely forgetting this was exercise.
Beyond the classes, it’s really great to know that it’s also a woman-led community headed by Coach Steph. She built the studio to help women feel confident and strong through movement.
For those who enjoy interesting lineups, you can drop in for high-energy Zumba or try their hip-hop sessions, which are often accompanied by music videos. Plus, you can join their glow-themed nights that turn the studio into a mini club.
The only con we noticed is that their classes lean more toward fitness and fun rather than techniques. So, if you’re after advanced choreography, this might not be your stop.

Cynergy Dance Company stands out in San Antonio for dancers who want dancing to be more than a hobby. It’s where you go when you’re ready to take your skills seriously and see real progress, and not just memorize routines.
With over 80 weekly classes, we were impressed by how much variety they actually offer.
You can go from ballet to hip-hop in the same week, or try folklorico and pointe if you want something more technical. Every class feels purposeful, and even as casual dancers, we could tell how much focus they put into training with intention.
They also run extras like summer camps and custom choreography, which make the whole experience feel more complete.
Beyond the wide selection, we appreciate how they give dancers the freedom to choose their path. Personally, we stuck with recreational classes since we’re just dancing for fun.
However, some dancers choose to take the leap into joining competitive teams and performance groups. The only downside is that the costs can add up since tuition and performance fees are separate.
